Doulas of Baltimore – Childbirth & Newborn Workshops

Located at The Cedarcroft Center (near Towson), this independent program offers several options:

 

  • Complete Childbirth Series (multi-week): $425, next session starts July 15, 2025

  • Birth Basics Workshop (one-day, 5 hours): $325, next on June 21, 2025 (only 3 spots left) 

  • Comfort Measures Workshop (hands-on techniques): $175, next on June 24, 2025 (2 spots left) 

 

 

Mercy Medical Center – Weekend Childbirth Education

One-day classes (9:30 am–5 pm) including comfort techniques, labor physiology, hospital procedures, newborn care, breastfeeding, and L&D unit tour.

 

  • Cost: ~$125 per couple + small fee

  • Upcoming date: June 21, 2025 

 

 

Ascension Saint Agnes

Comprehensive hospital-led offerings: childbirth education, C-section prep, sibling/grandparent classes, breastfeeding, infant care, maternity tours, and more.

 

  • Spanish-language classes available.

  • Registration via 888‑806‑6292 

 

 

University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC)

Childbirth Education Program for expectant parents and support people, taught by RNs. Topics include labor, birth plans, postpartum care, etc.

 

  • Free if under UMMC prenatal care; otherwise $45 per couple 

 

 

UM Baltimore–Washington Medical Center (Pascal Women’s Center)

In-person classes taught by nurse educators covering childbirth, comfort measures, newborn care, breastfeeding, and cesarean prep. Registration now open

Hava NaBaby – Core Childbirth Education (Hybrid)

4 sessions (2 online, 2 in-person) at $360; Refresher Class (2 sessions) at $180.
