What is a Doula?

🌿 What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to birthing people and their families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period.

At Sevyn Clouds, we believe every birthing person deserves compassionate, personalized care. As your doula, I am here to support you — your choices, your voice, and your vision for birth.

What Does a Doula Do?

💛 Prenatal Support:

We help you prepare for birth by providing resources, answering questions, exploring your birth preferences, and building confidence.

💛 Labor & Birth Support:

We offer hands-on comfort measures, emotional reassurance, and advocacy during labor and birth — whether at home, in a birthing center, or hospital.

💛 Postpartum Care:

Support doesn’t stop after birth. We’re here to help with feeding, healing, adjusting to new parenthood, and connecting you to community resources.

What a Doula Doesn’t Do:

A doula does not replace your doctor or midwife. We do not provide medical care, make decisions for you, or speak on your behalf. Instead, we empower you to make informed choices and feel supported every step of the way.
